Denial of Ltd through job

Hey,
I have been on social security and LTD following STD since my Mets diagnosis. I recently received a denial letter for the work LTD stating I havebeen on it for a good while and my status is NEAD which no longer qualifies me for continuing the LTD. Has anyone else experienced a denial after a period of time because they have remained NEAD?
Appreciate any feedback.
