Gemzar and liver toxicity

- I know there is a gemzar/carb thread but I am just on gemzar. I stopped taking it dec 5 because of toxicity and it turns out brain mets. Onc wants me to go back on because it's the one thing that has shrunk lung/bone/node activity. But two months later my AST (liver) numbers are still really high. I'm wondering if any of your docs have done things to support your liver through gemzar? Mine mentioned milk thistle but while I am an herby supplement person I want more than that. I plan on being here for a long time, and I need my liver healthy.
