So my first mammogram (at 40 years of age) was a year ago, and I had microcalcifications which led to more images, a core needle biospy, and a surgical biopsy. Result was atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH). Had 6 month MRI in July 2019 - nothing to see. Just had scheduled yearly mammogram now, and they found a 4 mm mass that wasn't on the MRI 6 months ago. They said it looked "echo-y" on ultrasound. They didn't want to try to drain it there. So I have an ultrasound-guided biopsy scheuled a week from Friday. Earliest available. They said they'd try to drain it first at that appointment.

I hate breasts.

On a positive note, there was a wonderful woman in the waiting room who saw me start to cry when they made me wait for more imaging after the first set of radiographs. She was fantastic - came right over and talked to me.
