Hi I'm 39 and my husband and I have been struggling to have our first (one miscarriage), and just received the results of 2x Right Breast Core Stereotactic Biopsies because a lump was found during a routine check-up. They took 12 and 14 samples from two sites after the diagnostic mammogram, and diagnosis came back Negative for invasive malignancy, but one site was Positive for ALH, both for calcifications, proliferative fibrocystic change with 3mm cluster of cysts, and PASH.

The radiologist reports stated the areas have been 'adequately sampled and no further tissue biopsy is needed; patient may return to yearly routine, however the ALH indicates High Risk and should schedule a high-risk consult'. Then the consult was with a nurse practitioner at an OBGYN clinic, who said she felt the ~3cm lump and totally freaked me out by saying she suspected there could be cancer as I do have a history - I've already had breast reduction surgery, dense breasts, my mom passed in her 50s from breast cancer, grandma 80s from ovarian, but neither had the gene.

She scheduled me in 2 days to see a breast surgeon at a breast center, but overall it's confusing and information seems to be mixed? Any suggestions on good questions I can ask the surgeon, especially since we are trying? Thanks so much.
