Tamoxifen and cognition issues

Haven't been on for awhile, sorry!

I thought I was doing ok, and then I went on Tamoxifen. A few weeks afterwards, my boss noticed I was having difficulty remembering certain tasks. The upshot of the whole thing is, I am (according to my boss) not performing quite as well at work. I have been reading about the effects that Tamoxifen has on perimenopausal patients, and there is some evidence that suggests while on Tamoxifen, memory can indeed be somewhat impaired.

Anyone else have this issue??

In my case, it is so hard to tell if memory issues and decreased "sharp thinking" is due to tamoxifen or due to the fact that I had three MAJOR life changes in 2019 (one of which was the cancer) or because I am getting older or . . .

This is absolutely one of the symptoms I experienced while on Tamoxifen, without a doubt. I write code for a living and my skills were noticibly reduced, enough to worry that I would eventually lose my job. I went off of it, the symptoms almost immediately cleared up, then I went back on at a reduced dose, and the symptoms came back. I have read that for some the issues caused by Tamoxifen go away over time as your body adjusts. I don't know, I discontinued using it.
