Anyone else concerned about taking Proton Pump Inhibitors?

Two years ago, I was diagnosed with a myriad of gastric issues and eventually it was figured out that I have Celiac Disease (auto immune disorder where your body attacks gluten from wheat, rye & barley). I had to see a gastroenterologist and I was put on omeprazole (a PPI) and I have been on it for about 2 years. A study came out a few years ago linking PPIs with an increased risk of dementia and I think there has been some studies afterwards that have debunked it. Anyway, someone posted this article ( https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/01/200117110840.htm ) recently on another place on the breastcancer.org site and I am concerned about it once again. I will be starting Ibrance as soon as my perscription arrives and I noticed that some women have mentioned that they had to go on it for side effects of heartburn from the Ibrance. I just wondered if anyone else had this concern and what they did about it?

cowgal , I have been on Dexilant for more than 2 years now, which is a strong Proton Pump Inhibitor. I have taken this while I was on Ibrance and other chemo drugs too, My dr prescribed me this for gastric ulcers in my stomach.
