59 and just diagnosed

I was recently diagnosed. I am so scared. It was caught early which is good. Thanks to a wonderful doctor this site was recommended to me. Not sure what else to say.

I know it is very scary and I can tell you it is a long, hard road. However it will end, you will get over the cancer and eventually be whole again. It is important to trust in God and know that he is always there for you. Even though we go through trials and tribulations, God always has a plan for us. That is how I got through my cancer, to trust in God and know he has a bigger plan for us. I was 34 when I was diagnosed a and thought my world was going to end. I am now five years cancer free and am learning to live life again...cancer free! If you ever need someone to talk to, I’m here for you and will keep you in my prayers.

Some of the early wait times are hard. I found it helpful to do lots of fun things, like going to an awesome concert the day after my biopsy, going to parks after appointments, lots of outings, day trips, and even a few short multi-day road trips. But my favorite was hiking an easy path in a local park after each procedure and surgery (3 in 2018). I was 68 and have a crappy knee, so I can't do the intense trails, but it felt wonderful to have even a modest accomplishment. Also, no matter what happens in the coming weeks or months, you'll create some great memories to look back on instead of your head being filled with medical drudge. And personally, I put my faith in the medical professionals, science, and the body's natural ability to heal. Whatever works for you!

Hi there, I know it's a shock even posting to this site--I was in shock that I was part of this club in the beginning. Once you get your pathology report (size, grade,stage, hormone positive or negative) let us know; meanwhile post as much as you need to; there is always someone here who will respond. We can help you even more. Meanwhile, know you will be okay. BC is just another disease-like heart disease, diabetes, or arthritis. With the right treatment, it can be treated and even stopped in its tracks, like those other diseases I mentioned.

It is such a shock to get a dx of cancer and it sends most of us reeling. You have come to the best place for info and support. Be cautious about info on google..... a lot of it is old and can scare you even more. It’s a relief that this was caught early. Once you get your treatment plan you will feel more in control. Hang tight and stay here. Keep us updated

hello sweetie sorry your here but we are here for you we know your feeling been there. I was diagnosed while planning our 2nd marriages at 42yrs old. Man of my prayers and dreams then this diagnosed with idc stage2 0/3 nodes 3mo chemo before and after Lmast then we got married then 7wks rads and 5yrs on Tamoxifen. Praise God with faith Hope Positive thoughts I am this past yr a 25yr Survivor. Glory to God so I'm here to help and Inspire others. Also celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. Hang in there. msphil
