Hi this is my first post on this site. I'm a small 62 year old with an athletic body and own 2 very old horses. I'm having difficultly finding someone that can take care of me and my horses while I recover from a right side MX. I don't have a surgery date yet but I'm worried about how long it will be before I can feed the horses on my own. As long as I have one free hand/arm I think I should be able to feed in a day or two. Does anyone have feedback?

I'm not sure if I'm having reconstruction yet because of this issue. Certainly removing one of my small breast (A cup) will not be a huge surgery but if I have a TE placed subpectoral, this will require more recovery time, and at least one more surgery. I'm hoping to have nothing done to my left breast until small profile implant is placed (if I decide to go with reconstruction).

Hi Hasta! Welcome to our community. You may find some helpful information about recovery in our Surgery forum! Everyone's recovery time is different, but it may be helpful to hear from others about how they managed: https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/91

Hi Hasta! What city and state do you live in? I’d be happy to help you access resources or helpers via different online options. I’m pretty savvy and would love to help you.
