Intrathecal pain pump

My wife is Stage IV with mets to lungs and bone, which has caused pelvic fracture and extreme pain. She has been on methadone and dilauded and is now considering intrathecal pain pump. She is having the epidural trial now, which has helped significantly with the pain, but is concerned about numbness and instability while walking. Thoughts?

Stage IV, metastasized to bone/lungs, 2/4 nodes, ER+/PR+, HER2-
