Thought I would share the online practice TelepsychHealth.com, a psychiatry and therapy practice. I had a few appointments so far with their providers and I am SO pleased, specifically the psychiatrist who manages my anxiety/depression medication in partnership with my MO. I never feel rushed, I feel understood and they really have taken the time to get to know me and ways they can help.

It has been extremely convenient (I swear, if I have to go into the cancer center and tell them my date of birth one more time, I will scream). I see him in my home office via secure video, kind of like FaceTime (most of the time in my PJs).

Anyway, HIGHLY recommend. They take all insurance and prescribe if you decide you want to go that route. If you have been contemplating seeing someone or getting help, or taking to someone about what you're going through, I highly recommend it.

Yes. You can go to their site TelepsychHealth.com or call, but they said they take all insurances. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield. There is a $20 co-pay, but after my deductible is met (soon), it will be $0 per visit and I am going to start going weekly.

I think they are limited to IL, FL, CA, MN and possibly a few other states.

It's important to get help in whatever way you are comfortable, and for me, it was not visiting someone in-person and making yet another in-person appointment on top of the many I have weekly/monthly during treatment.

Thank you. I did seek out counseling 6 months after diagnosis, but I would have done it sooner if I didn’t have to leave the house. I hope this will help others, as well.

Very interested in this. It has been hard finding a therapist. Are the therapists on this site experienced with cancer patients?
