well, since i don't have insurance and make just a touch more than the federal poverty guideline to receive any kind of assistance with health coverage, i can't get the mri or ductogram the surgeon wanted me to have.

They will not do it at all without it for sure being paid for so i did some research and saw that i could get the mri and ductogram in mexico for about 4000 dollars cheaper than it was quoted to me here. I suppose if i want to know what's wrong with my boob, the only way to do that is use my meager tax refund to rent a car and drive to mexico in order to get the mri and ductogram done. I am not sure when that will be as i want to do some more research and find a good place to get it done there. After that, if it turns out to be suspicious enough i might pick up a third job next year so i can pay for the health insurance offered by my other job.

It has now been almost 4 months since initial dr. visit regarding lump. Also, earlydetectionworks didn't cover the surgeon consultation because they would cover the incisional biopsy but not the consult, and at the consult, the surgeon said i needed more images and needed an mri and ductogram because he got the clear discharge to come out of my nipple again. So i owe the surgeon 235 dollars for seeing me for 10 minutes to do a breast exam and i owe the "low income clinic" 156 dollars for a visit to tell me they were sending me to the surgeon. Yay.

are u ok? I just saw all of this & read about your bad mammogram. The mammogram technician acted like a jerk to me on my 2nd Mammo (I was 43), I got a diagnostic mammo and she acted like I was silly for wanting one. Ended up having breast cancer and they missed it. I hope you found a way to get the test you need. X
