It's a very good documentary about what she goes through. But now I'm looking her up on the internet and I can't find any other info. I just want to know that she still made it. After going through all that. It seems she had a yoga studio for awhile, but appears closed. Not to be morbid, but no obit finding either. I'm just hoping she is well now.

I also saw 1 a Minute. Very good. I just want to know what I'm up against if this all goes south for me as I imagine it's going to.

I have a maternal grandmother that was riddled with cancer. I have been feeling really off. As in not well for years. Blood tests come back ok though.

Most people in the “Not Diagnosed But Worried” forum will not be diagnosed with cancer and will move on from here. I find it more helpful to be reassuring and positive than dwell on “worst case.” Often people make themselves sick for weeks over worries that turn out to be nothing

1 in every 3 women and 1 in every 2 men will develop cancer, of some sort, during their lives. Most cancers are sporadic and not genetic. If your maternal grandmother had cancer but not your mother or her siblings, then your grandmother's cancer was not likely genetic, which means that her having cancer wouldn't increase your risk. I'm sorry that your grandmother was "riddled with cancer". i'm sure that was awful. What likely happened is that she had cancer in one originating organ or part of the body and that one cancer metastasized, moving throughout her body. So although she had cancer in many places, it most likely was one cancer. That, unfortunately, is how cancer spreads and kills, and in fact is how 3 of my grandparents died.

The good news is that your grandmother's illness likely has no bearing on your health or your risk.
