Suspicious fast growing mass in my right breast. I had a core needle biopsy yesterday and results should be in Friday. It was weird when i had my ultrasound because the radiologist was making faces and sounds like he wasn't sure about what it was. That was not very comforting at all..lol.

Just wanted to wish you the best. I get very irritated when a medical professional does what you describe. Really inexcusable. Hopefully you'll have answers soon and can move forward. Often they are technicians who should not have an opinion (since they are not authorized to!)

    Keep us posted.

my ultra sound tech was right on the money, and the doctor doing the core biopsy followed her lead. I knew in my heart what it was before I got my results back and the fact that they went back a second time 'to be sure' during the core biopsy solidified it all for me. All the best wishes for a clean biopsy and if not, we will all be here to help however we can

In retrospect, all the medical providers at every step of the way we’re broadcasting to me as clearly as possible (in words, not facial expressions) that this was something they were taking very seriously. (I was blissfully oblivious, but there you go).

Try not to read too much into facial expressions. There are so many other plausible explanations, and birads 4 is still far more likely benign than not. If they thought it was cancer, it would be birads 5 (which mine was, though I didn’t know to check at the time). 4 means it’s not a clear and likely cancer to them, but medical prudence requires further diagnostics to be sure.

The waiting parts are so hard. I hope it will all be over for you Friday
