Mine were getting pretty ratty after several years of use - the velcro would not stay closed so I had to hold the vest pieces together with my free hand.

A few weeks ago I called Tactile Medical to inquire about obtaining replacements. They found my file right away and said they could ship a new set at no charge. They came the next day!

They are a different/better design however are still in that unattractive but gender neutral brown color...

Lucky you!! I wanted to replace sleeve and glove. Medicare and Humana denied. I don’t have $350 laying around to pay out of pocket.

Yes, I expected to have a medical equipment co-pay however it seems the manufacturer wants to keep people using their machine and achieving results so they made it easy.

Very little legislation is getting through the US Senate these days - there have been LE activists who are trying to advocate for Medicare coverage of compression wear but without much success...

Sometimes, if you fit into the standard size ranges, certain on line retail outlets will have sales or discounts.

    spookiesmom,

What number did you use to contact medicare? you mentioned replacement, did they even cover the initial set? I thought they do not cover and had not even asked.

My PT gave me two brand new juzo gloves. Apparently the insurance company of another of her client sent the client a box of 10, but the they didn't fit the woman, she offered to send back for a replacement, but the insurance company asked her to give them to someone (say her PT) and resent her another box. I wondered what insurance company did she have.

    Hello,

I received my FlexiTouch and was shocked at how cumbersome and difficult it is to use. I am very disappointed because my lymphedema is making my breast very large and hard. Massage therapy didn’t work, and I am not able to hook up the FlexiTouch by myself. I also don’t have an hour a day to lie there while it works. I’m sorry to be negative about this, but I need a real solution that makes sense. Does anyone know if compression bras work? Thank you

dajoway - you need to go back to an LEPT. Massage therapy does work, it just often takes a long time. And they should definitely have trained you with the FlexiTouch. There are several other things available now, but I'm not remembering the names. If you check at an NCI hospital, they will likely have the most updated info.

Compression bras work for me - but that's to keep the swelling down - not to make it go down.

You may find some useful information at this link.

I just got my flextouch for arm. Does anyone have experience with other systems? I was using a biocompression that just had one sleeve for the affected arm. The flextouch seems a lot more gentle, maybe because it has more steps in its sequence? ALso I am wondering how snug the garments should be, rather loose now.
