Hi everyone, I was diagnosed at 33 years old with ADH 2 years ago. I felt a lump on my left breast and the doctor did core biopsy. It was initially diagnosed as just fibroadenoma but at the end when the doctor did the surgical biopsy it was a fibroadenoma, lesion span 1.5 mm of severe ADH. I had a second opinion done at Sloan, and they downgraded to just ADH. The medication Tamoxifen was thrown out there for me take from both doctor's but at the end they didn't suggest me to take it yet. I'm currently being monitored every year with mammogram and ultrasound.

I am currently 35, turning 36 next year and I'm seriously considering freezing my eggs. I'm currently not dating and i don't know when I'll find the right guy to start a family with. Has anyone have any experience with egg freezing, IVF that's high risk? I worry because i read about all the hormones that is being injected into the body and they may fuel the cancer. I feel so lost... Thank you so much.

Actually, from what I have read the statistics do not indicate that IVF is much of a risk. I think you should sit down with a genetics counselor as to whether ADH is a high enough risk factor to consider fertility preservation
