Great undergarment for us sisters that have had surgery

Options

Hi Ladies,

4 months after surgery and 7 weeks of Rad and I still cannot bare the thought of a bra. Actually I always hated them anyway. So I have not been able to wear some of my nice sweaters, they do not look good without some support. I think I need to have support because my breast is pulling on my arm. I am not really busty but anything hurts now. So I wanted to share a great top I just bought on Amazon ( well I think it is great) It is from US JoyShaper and is called slimming tank top with built in bra. It gives you soft support and does not ride high on the armpit. Extra bonus it goes past your tummy and does slim a little. I wanted to share as I imagine many of you are having the same issue. Wishing all my survivor sisters a wonderful holiday and a healing New Year

Thanks KatherineGrace. I just cannot get away without a bra and am wondering if anyone who is bustier might have ideas for a bra that is wireless, supportive, and dare I ask...comfortable?

striveforhealth, I bought 2 cotton bras from Walmart before my surgery. They're the kind with 7 hooks up the front. They're not lots of support (NOT a sports bra!) but definitely help, and they're pretty comfortable. When I had radiation and my underarm was a bit raw, I actually took scissors and cut down the underarm of one of the bras so it wouldn't rub on me. I just cut it back less than an inch. The fabric doesn't ravel or shred, so it's stayed intact since then, with lots of wearings and washings. They're not beautiful and they don't create a smooth cup, because it's basically gathered cotton knit. But I still use them for almost all the time in the house, and most of the time I'm out and don't need something firmer or smoother.

Sort of related, I had two AnaOno bras I used during radiation (size M, I'm a 34D). They were lifesavers. I don't need them anymore, can wear slightly more supportive/regular bras now. Does anyone have ideas on where I could donate to women who could use them? I hate to just give to HousingWorks which is what we normally do, since they are intended for breast cancer surviviors...particulary post-surgery, during/post-radiation.

I just wore the same cheap stretchy Target bra every day. It's one I'd had for a few years, and I didn't want to get ink on more than one. I had another older one is switch to for laundering time. As time went on and I used more Aquaphor on my skin it was another reason to stick with just one.
