Hi, all.

I had a double on December 2. My drains and half of the staples are out. My home care nurse said I can forego gauze and bandages. I am free from the surgical bras! Oh what a relief that is.

The surgical tape left me so very sticky. We have mineral oil pads and the home care nurse recommended I use them to remove the stickiness. She used one yesterday. Sometimes it seems like it is off but the next time I change, there is linty grime from my clothing touching the stickiness.

My husband and I used one mineral oil patch last night and followed up with a rubbing alcohol patch to remove the mineral oil. I dressed this morning and felt that the zipper of the top I was wearing was painful on my skin. I removed it to see grey, linty grime. I used another mineral oil pad, alcohol pad, baby wipe, soap and water, yet I felt more sticky. When I shower, I feel more sticky after the shower.

Is this something that just needs time? Any tips for getting residue off the skin and getting unstuck
