3 week delay TCHP

Does anyone has experience with this long of a delay? It will be 6 weeks total between treatment cycle 4 and cycle 5. My platelets were at 69, which is obviously low but the doctor didn’t even blink when he said 3 week break. This has me a bit concerned. Thanks!

Baj - with low platelets or low WBC, the docs often take a chemo break. I'm assuming you're scheduled for infusions total? So you'll have two more after your break

Hi. Yup 6 total, I guess I was just surprised with 3 more weeks of delay after the 3 weeks of break after round 4 (so 6 weeks total in between 4 and 5). I knew there would be a break if my numbers dropped, just I guess expected 1 week or possibly 2, not 3 lol.
