Implants are really uncomfortable

Hello. (If this has been covered elsewhere, please direct me to that thread.)

I've had multiple surgeries and several different implants. My current ones are round silicon. I don't remember the exact name/type, but if it's relevant to my question, I'll look for my implant id card. I've had these for about 2 years now. They look ok, with some loose skin and one nipple higher than the other, but my husband thinks they're fabulous and that pleases me. However, they're really uncomfortable. They feel heavy and I don't like the way they feel when they are pressed or moved. I also find what little sensation I have left, actually feels a bit painful when my husband touches my breasts. And I seem to gradually be getting more feeling in my skin, which amounts to increasing discomfort. Are there any implants that are actually known to be comfortable, or is this just a side effect I have to live with? Are there new alternatives to implants that might be better? I was thinner when I got the implants, so my surgeon said I didn't have enough body fat to use for reconstruction, but I think I've gained some weight since then. Should I ask her to reconsider?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Yes, you should go see your plastic surgeon. And maybe another PS for a 2nd opinion. Likely there is a reason for the pain but it may be hard to find. Have you explored lymphadema with a certified LEPT? You will need to know the names & models & sizes of all the implants you had previously and what have now. Fat grafting is a possibility and the docs can usually improve your cosmetic results. If you're willing to undergo yet another surgery & possibly give up some muscles, you can certainly re-consider other types of reconstruction. The questions if a good one for a plastic surgeon.

Are you in an exercise program? Daily stretching & building back the upper body is important.

I didn't have enough fat for DIEP either but I was a candidate for SGAP. I went with implants for the moment because I wasn't up for another big surgery.

I currently have smooth, pre pec silicone Natrelle Inspiras, 410cc. I have some rippling and the random pain or itch here and there but they generally don't bother me if I wear a bra.
