Question Pet Scan

Options

Hi,

I had a PET/CT scan because I have been having rib and groin pain. I had 2 areas with “a focus of increased FDG uptake"both listed as uncertain etiology possibly due to post traumatic change from surgery. No abnormal soft tissue was identified. One is in the soft tissue intercostal region anteriorly and the other right anterior 5th rib. “May be due to post-surgical change." I had rib pain six months before my breast cancer diagnosis and thought I had fractured my rib so had an X-ray which was fine. The pain went away after six weeks or so. The oncologist said the areas didn't light up really bright and didn't seem too concerned. A short-term interval follow-up PET-CT study and appropriate clinic correlation was suggested for the two findings in the report. All other areas were fine, so not sure why my left groin area hurts. I am almost done with radiation. Should I be concerned? Has anyone had something like this?Could the tissue expander be pressing against my ribs? My surgery was end of August. During my appointment my Dr., suggested Tylenol and if it gets worse to make an apt. How soon would a follow-up scan take place? If the pain goes away should I bother with a repeat scan?
