Ill try to sum this up and it'll be the last I do anything or read anything about this today.

For the past couple of weeks my right nipple has been itching. Almost like when hair is growing back in a sensitive area after shaving. So I think nothing of it...just pinch lightly or tap to relieve the itch. I have noticed a full and heavy feeling in my right breast the past week or so also. Ive tried to ignore it. I had medicaid from other issues and pulled into with my sons with autism. But...something got screwed up and it was terminated. I put in an application for another as my job doesnt offer insurance. Everytime Ive gone to the dr in the past 2 years with breast pain...I get it a lot...they always do a quick check and say its the implants. Ive had implants 23 years and unable to have them removed bc of expense. So they always send me for mammograms...find something small...then send for ultrasound and cleared to leave. The reports are always "highly dense breasts...cannot get totally accurate results because of that and implants". Ok. So I always stop thinking about it bc I feel they think Im a hypochondriac. I just want help. They tried to get me an MRI... It was denied. (Probably due to medicaid)

Fast forward... Along with pain and heaviness I started getting an itch under right nipple. Just lightly tap or rub but nothing extensive. So today Im just thinking let me look and lift my shirt and there's about 7 blotchy dark pink spots of varying sizes (all about a dime to quarter size...some connecting in strings) This worries me so much that I now have a visible sign that they cant deny now and went to my primary. I paid out of pocket for a brief visit to the express care because I didnt want to wait til an appt came open. She examined it and said it doesnt appear fungal at all so she wasnt giving antibiotics. She gave a topical steroid and told me to wait. This came on so fast Im worried about waiting. She said I need an mri...that once insurance is back on they will refer me to breast surgeon so hopefully they can push through mri. God knows how long this will take. Im very worried now. I feel like it checks a lot of negative boxes but what do I do with no insurance? I wish I could get the implants out bc they've caused lots of problems but life has dealt some blows and its not possible now. But my concern here are the symptoms and quick onset of this one particularly.

Is it itchy or just a rash? I’ve had itchiness in one breast and it just so happens to be the one I have an indention in that they say is caused by lazy ligaments. My anxiety is through the roof. I’ve scratched to the point that I have 5 or 6 scabs where I’ve broken the skin. When I talked to my breast doctor about it she said they don’t associate itching with breast cancer. But something is up. I have an appointment with a dermatologist on December 18 but until then my primary care doc called in a strong cream to apply to see if that helps, after using hydrocortisone and yeast medicine for three weeks with no change. I’m not so much worried about IBC but I worry that I have breast cancer that doesn’t show on imaging and now I have skin mets. Hoping that’s just my anxiety causing me to feel this way but I walk around with a feeling that something is wrong all the time with this breast. I can’t shake it. I don’t have dense breasts, I have a mix of dense and mostly fat I think. Hope you get to the bottom of this but if it keeps happening I would suggest seeing a dermatologist.

KarenMazz, I notice you've been a member here since 2015. Did you have breast cancer then, and are you worried about a recurrence?
