Help 2nd Opinion!!

Does anyone have opinions or experience with the larger NCI cancer centers. After my VATS surgery this friday and pathology and treatments are established, I want to go to a larger facility to get a 2nd opinion,etc. I have narrowed it down to MD Anderson in Houston, Dana Farber in Boston and Sloan Kettering in New York. Anyone know which one would be best for Metastatic BC that has come back after 12 years. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Karen

    Highly advocate for 2nd opinions and highly recommend Dana Farber in Boston. Any of the Drs there will be amazing. My cancer came back 3 times and there was.n 8 year gap between.

    Imagine, did you ever decide on a facility for second opinion? I am going to Dana Farber in ten days for a second opinion. My cancer came back after 24 years!

    Yes, I'm going to Sloan Kettering in New York on the 23rd. I also changed my local MO and am much more satisfied with the new Oncologist. Dana Farber is suppose to be very good. My son in law is a doc and he and all his doc friends really think Sloan is a good choice as I'm just making sure this is all the treatment I should do now.

    Good luck! The major cancer centers are very used to helping you create a plan which your local oncologist carries out. Lots of ladies do this.
