Hi everyone,

Unusual situation here. Had a textured implant for six years. Had capsular contracture, so the implant was removed four years ago, and had an SGAP tissue transfer, which was successful. Over the last month or so, the SGAP reconstructed breast has started to hurt, and over the last week, it has become excruciatingly painful. Been in touch with the PS, he thinks it might be an infection or a virus and has me on Tylenol (can't take ibuprofen because of a blood disorder).

Any chance the swelling and pain could come from BIA-ALCL cancer caused by the implant, even though it was removed four years ago? Maybe there was still something left over in the capsule and surrounding area after the PS removed the implant?

I'm at a loss why I'm having so much pain. Unfortunately I live in Colorado now and the PS is in NYC, so I might have to fly to NYC to figure out, but thought I'd ask here too.
