Has anyone been on Gemzar? What were the side effects and did you lose your hair? Also, did you experience any problems with your insurance covering this drug?

My mom was on gemzar for a different cancer. She handled it pretty good. She was 76 when she had it. Mainly fatigue, lost her sense of taste. She did not lose her hair.

I personally never used this drug but one of my friend, (whom i befriended during our hospital visits) had this drug and her basic complaints were Fatigue and Nausea mainly. She never complained of any hair loss nor could i appreciate one. I am posting a few links so that you can know more about the side effects related to GEMZAR.
