Jaw and tongue hurt: rads, Kadcyla, or Arimidex causing?

I started Kadcyla and rads around the same time. Rads just finished (30 + 3 boosts), next day started Arimidex. My tongue and jaw hurt when I eat. Anyone experience this and know what from?

Is your tongue swollen? In the article Arimidex from our main site you can read that swelling of tongue, throat, arms, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs could be an allergic side effect. See here:

"Some side effects may mean that you're having an allergic reaction to Arimidex. If you have any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:

• chest pain
• blurred vision
• racing heartbeat
• rash or hives
• swelling of the eyes, face, lips, tongue, throat, arms, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
• breast pain or new lumps in the breast"

Hope this is not your case. Anyway you may want to call your doctor...

No swelling. Just pain

I had jaw pain during rads. It was similar to the pain I had during chemo. I think it may be related to low defenses. I hope you get better soon! 😘

Thanks. It is better now so I think it was the radiation for me, too.
