How long of a break?

I’m wondering if some of my side effects (joint pain, hand swelling) I’ve been experiencing are from a new letrozole manufacturerfrom the pharmacy. For those of you who’ve taken a little break before switching to a different AI, how long of a break did your doctor recommend? (To get it out of your system to determine if it was the source of pain) thanks!

I just finished a break from my Letrozole. My dr said it takes 1 month to be completely out of your system. She said I would be fine stopping for 4 - 6 weeks and that people do it all the time for a variety of reasons. I noticed no difference when I stopped but I hadnever felt like I had side effects from the drug.

If it makes any difference, my drug has always come from Teva.

When I switched from Arimidex to Letrozole, I had a one month break.

Thank you both...looks like I will wait 3 or 4 weeks to see if I can get the accord brand letrozole out of my system.
