New period after stopping tamoxifen

I completed my 5 year course of tamoxifen about 2 months ago and after 1 year with no periods. I elected to not continue in the post menopausal version of tamoxifen. I just started period- like bleeding this week. I and 53 and Was having hot flashes which increased after stopping tamoxifen. Also had thickened uterus with a polyp, that was removed via D&C earlier this year. I started taking pregnenolone 3 weeks ago which really decreased the hot flashes (yay!). Now I’m not sure if the period resumption and hot flash decrease is an effect of taking pregnenolone or because I stopped tamoxifen. I see my oncologist on Friday but wanted to know if anyone else has had a similar experience?thank you

I'm not sure if I'm in the same boat. I went off of tamoxifen about 8 weeks ago and now I'm bleeding. I called the Oncologist and he said that I shouldn't have started my periods again and I need to get checked to make sure it's not uterine cancer. Ugh, I thought the risk was "slight" for that to occur from tamoxifen. Have you found anything new out? I'm in Florida for the winter and found out my insurance won't cover getting checked out here so I have no idea what to do now.
