I had my yearly visit today and we had a lengthy discussion about my period, menopause and then ovarian cancer. My period stopped 2/2018 shortly after chemo started until 7/2019 when I had a short period. I've had nothing since. Dr is concerned why no period since i started back up this year. Having blood work done to check hormone levels see if ovaries are still working. Went into there being a link to BC and ovarian cancer and if they are not working I need to think about getting them taken out.

Anyone have issue with getting your period back? I know oncologist said it could take 2 yrs before my period comes back. I told obgyn to talk with chronologist once the blood work up comes back.

So over having to deal with anymore cancer related appointments.

Lucyred - hope you got your blood tests back by now. Your age changes the picture a lot as well as at what age the women in your family go into menopause.
