I got mild LE on my left arm (surgery side) after chemo. It has gotten better in the last year I don't need to wear a sleeve and glove daily. I still get flare-ups when I over use my arm (cleaning, cooking, etc.) and subsides after compression. I am planning to get reconstruction soon, maybe the first part of next year. Since LE is a result of lymph node surgery, iIs there any possibility that my LE will get worse after reconstruction surgery?

I've asked my PS about tweaking the reconstruction implants I has installed in 2011 - but specifically asked if there was any chance that my LE could get worse. He said he would give no guarantees. I understand LE can flare at any time - even 25 years down the road from the prick of a rose thorn.
