Cold caps or dignitana

I will be starting chemo soon. I was wondering if the cold caps are as effective as they say and how comfortable are they?

hello lam ....I used Dignicap and started off with lots of hair. I had 4 rounds of TC chemo. As long as I took some meds for pain and anxiety, the discomfort was tolerable. I’m glad I did it. I thinned a lot overall (70% I’m guessing) but no bald patches and have not had to wear or wig. I did recently buy some scarves just in case, as I’m stillonly washing my hair once a week. It’s 11 weeks post last chemo and I’m still shedding daily. But there’s lots of new hair growing.

It does add time to your chemo day. And you have to follow some rules for hair care given to you by the company that you select. Basically, treat your hair very gently.

People have varying results with cold capping. Some lose very little hair. Proper fit of the cap is crucial.
