Sinking

Options

I have a mood disorder, and I seem to have sunk into a depressive phase. It's pretty bad. I don't want to shower. Barely make it through work everyday. Have a very lowered libido. All I want to do is sleep.

I am getting ready to have a SAVI device for radiation inserted next week, which is adding to my usual stress.

I don't know what to do. I can't get in to see my medication guy for another week and a half. Boo.

How do y'all deal with stress and depression in a healthy way?

    Hi!

I've been on Celexa since I started Aromasin + Zoladex, which put me into insta-menopause. But, before then, my MO prescribed me some anti-anxiety medication, Ativan. I just took it when I needed to. You don't have to wait for your med guy to get a prescription; your MO can write one as well. Just make sure that the prescribing doctor knows what meds you are on already.

I also try to exercise daily, even if it's just a walk around the block or climbing the stairs extra. Others here have met with counselors, especially those who specialize in cancer.

Sometimes, we do just have to go through the motions of life. Take it easy!

I’m already on an antidepressant, anti anxiety, and mood stabilizer. I suppose one or more of those needs tweaking.

grayskies: Sorry you are having a down moment right now.

When I'm feeling down, I will typically call a friend or family member just to talk, or watch videos on youtube or Netflix. Usually a comedy.

I seem to be leveling out.

Strangely enough, I broke up with my boyfriend and it made me feel better. I feel more free.
