how long have people survived when they are told there is no more treatments available

    Hi Rainbow, that's very individual. There was a lady on these boards a few years ago who 'failed' hospice. Which is to say she was on hospice for longer than the usual 6 months.

    Others die within a few days.

    My personal point of view is besides being individual to the person and the cancer, it depends on how many treatments and how hard they hit you. Someone who is very ill from the chemos they've been having may not survive as long as someone who is feeling well at the time they decide to stop treatment. All that, of course, is dependent on the cancer itself.

    And, FYI, there are always more treatments available. One can go back and re-try treatments you have already had. The thing is that the cancer may not respond.
