Small pain in mastectomy area done 9 years ago

I had reconstruction with implant 9 years ago. Had stage 1 invasion ductll carcinoma . Last several months having aching pain in same area where original mass removed; and implant placed. I'm becoming paranoid about this off and on pain. Always same spot. Suggestions? Should I see doctor? What kind. Stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma. Hormone positive. I did less then recommended hormonal therapy. A total about 17 months tamoxifen and Arimedexdue to side affects at diagnosis 6/06/10.

Conventional wisdom says if a pain lasts over a couple of weeks, you should see your doc. Do you have an OB/Byn? That might be one place to start. You don't have your treatment listed or public in your signature line so not sure if you had an MO or chemo? If so, that's another good place to start. And of course you can go back to your PS - but it's been my experience that surgeons have the least time or interest in exploring aches & pains down the road.

Marilyn, perhaps it has something to do with your implant?

Nerve endings take a while to regenerate; Maybe yours are developing more and more so you are feeling things you had not sensed previously.
