This week I had a core needle biopsy done. Pathology report said not cancer, not malignant. It also said the mass was an atypical papilloma and MD recommends removal. He is referring me to a surgeon. I am so scared and have so many questions. Would appreciate feedback and advice from any of you that have been through this. Thank you so much!

I haven’t been through it, but I have a excisional biopsy coming up on 11/15 to remove a probable Fibroadenoma and also to check if I have a Fibroadenoma or phyllodes tumor, so I just wanted to say that I’m with you on being nervous about a surgery and that I hope yours goes well.

My meeting with the surgeon was good. She was very kind, and educational. She made me feel good about what was going on and like whatever the results were that I was in good hands. I hope you have a good experience also.

Thank you. I'll probably be less anxious after meeting with the surgeon. Right now there are just so many unanswered questions and my anxiety is skyrocketing.
