Hypertrophic scars

I have terrible hypertrophic scars from my breast reconstruction! They actually hurt when I press on them.

Has anyone had any luck with remedying them? Every Dr I speak to says silicone sheets may help and laser is super expensive and no guarantees it will resolve the issue.

Any advice?

    hi. I know this post is older now, but did you ever remedy the hypertrophic scar? I have a large raised one around my nipple ( on the good breast that was just lifted!!!) I’ve tried silicone strips, steroid creams etc and nothing works. I was told that reincision is often the only course and I don’t really want that....Help
