Can neuro damage caused by leptomeningeal cancer improve?

How hopeful can I realistically be about this? Does anyone have any info on it? I know it's "usually" not going to improve, but how specific is that? Is there a percentage? Usually is not the same as never...

I have no solid tumours, just floating nodules, and am being treated with methotrexate via Ommaya Reservoir. Immobile from stomach (close to chest) down, I can't lift my left arm, both my arms are weaker and the hands are very shaky (lost a lot of my fine motor control). Sensation-wise I'm numb, prickly, tingly, achy and burning in different places, only my face feels normal.

Edit: I am going to ask an oncologist about this tomorrow, but still... Mine already warned me it might be permanent, but even so I want more info.

Edit 2: So, I asked and the answer I got was that it's very unlikely. The earlier the disease is treated, the higher the chances that the physical damage can be reduced, and the newer a development is, the more likely the chance of reducing it too. It's unlikely but not impossible. But most improvements will be minor at best.

Great. Mine is too far gone, I should not be hoping for much, if anything. That's depressing :(
