Iscador, an extract of European mistletoe, in cancer treatment
Used in Europe, especially in Germany. You can get it in Europe and Canada but not USA. Maybe conflict of interest with pharmaceutical companies?
Does anyone have any experience, have used it, knows someone who has used it?
Also, you can google it. Please let me know if you have any experience.
Thank you.

Lily , I have been using it for about a month as it was provided by my functional doctor. She has sent me some links about it which I have not read as yet - I will keep using it as I trust her until I have had an opportunity to do my own research. It seems to be ok but I use so much stuff I do not know what is what anymore.

Lilly,
You can get mistletoe extract from Uriel Pharmacy in the US. My naturopath doctor prescribed it. Oddly, on the kit it says to take by mouth, but their practice uses it via self injection. It' s quite expensive in the US.

Hi Lilly,
I was prescribed Iscador (drops rather than injections) privately by a lovely consultant in London, where I live.
Unfortunately it didn't work for me and in fact my symptoms worsened while I was taking it, although at the time I was taking a huge mish mash of alternative remedies so I'm not at all sure what was doing me good and what wasn't. I was very keen to try Iscador and I don't regret trying it and wouldn't want to put anyone else off giving it a go. it's just that in my case it didn't seem to help. As you say, it is very widely used in Germany and Switzerland - Iscador is actually a Swiss product - nearly always in conjunction with conventional therapy as it is well documented that it lessens the bad side effects of chemo. In my case I haven't had any conventional treatment, apart from Tamoxifen, and I have been unable to find many case studies of people who have taken Iscador as a standalone rather than alongside conventional treatment.
There is a charity in Scotland called the Camphill Wellbeing Trust that has a lot of information on Iscador and mistletoe thereapy.
All the best.

Thank you so much Peacelily.

My wife got mistletoe extract by IV. They upped the dose each week until she got a terrible rash. Then she got it one or two times more until we made the connection. Not sure if it did any good. She got it before going on chemo, and it certainly didn't stop the rise of her tumor markers. She was also getting vitamin C IV and artemisinin by IV.
