Cyst or cancer?

Options

Hi all!

Had lumpectomy for stage 1 ILC followed by radiation, which I just finished in August. Now on letrozole (yuck). Found a tiny hard bump in opposite breast. Breast surgeon did ultrasound yesterday and did use the word cyst once when he first saw it, but kept stressing how small it is. Didn’t really offer any reassurance like “oh I’m sure it’s nothing”—Wants me back in a month to look at it again. I may very well be overthinking this, but when he was looking for it he was all chatty, then the mood totally changed when he found it. Very reminiscent of when I was initially diagnosed, so I’m definitely sweating it. Any similar situations?

Thanks in advance—without this site and you guys I don’t know what I would do

My cancer tumor was 4mm. It was very obvious on ultrasound. Had blood source. It was like a hard bb. Felt like.

Not sure if my experience is helpful. Remember you can get second ultrasound by second opinion. Insurance should pay for that. Mine did. Just letting you know that you have options rather than waiting.

Jons girl thank you—that is a great idea! The waiting is the worst part as I’m sure you know
