Hello I'm a breast cancer survivor of 11 yrs. I have had this red rash on my left breast since March. It started out dime size. Now is half dollar size. My nipple looks find. The rash is tender. I see my cancer dr Oct 29. I was wondering for ladies that have IBC is this the way yours started. I'm terrified it's IBC.

IBC would typically spread much faster than that. One of the clinical features is the rapid onset of symptoms, and it usually gets worse by the week. If you haven't shown other symptoms of IBC (heat, swelling, redness over a third or more of your breast, peau d'orange, etc) after 7 months, it's unlikely to be primary IBC. Still, since you previously had breast cancer it's good that you are having it checked out, there's always a chance that it could be skin mets or a symptom of an underlying tumor (local recurrence) You should ask your doctor to order a punch biopsy if they think there's a chance of IBC.

Good luck with your appointment sheshe, I hope it's nothing more than a rash.
