No Nodes in my Sentinel Node Biopsy

Hello,

I went for my follow up and pathology report this morning. I had lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy on September 18th. My tumor 2.1 cm was removed with clear margins. Yay. They had taken three hot nodes during biopsy but pathologist couldn’t find any lymph nodes in specimen. Surgeon sent to two other pathologists but no joy. They will tell me by Friday if they were able to locate nodes. If they don’t I will have another surgery on October 23rd. My surgeon said this was rare but does happen. Has anyone had experience with this? Thanks
