Pain in Implant Area 16 years after reconstruction

Hi, I haven't been on this site in years! Originally diagnosed in 2002 with breast cancer reconstruction (lat-flap reconstruction in 2003).

It's been 16 years now, and I am having a weird pain in my chest area on the right side - it feels like a muscular pain but it has not gone away and have had it for about 2 weeks now. I have not strained my chest area nor have I been doing any exercises for the chest area. Scheduled an appt. for a check-up next week.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Just wondering if it could be a symptom of the implant being out of place, capsular contracture, etc.

Not a newbie to this site, but lost my original login information since we moved states and changed email servers so it looks like this is my first post but it definitely is not.

Welcome back to our community, steelmillgal. Have you been back to your doctor to get it examined? Sounds as though it would be good to get a medical professional to look and be able to do any necessary imaging. Please keep us posted.
