My Oncologist ordered routine blood work (CBC, Complete Metabolic Panel and .Auto Diff tests) before I start treatment in a few weeks. The results were just posted and she said that everything looked good, except my WBC and platelets were slightly elevated as I just had surgery a few weeks ago. She said not to worry and everything looked great.
With regard to BC and blood work, I have read a lot of ladies get blood done regularly. Is this something I should take as good news?
Is there a certain marker everyone watches for? Calcium? Anything else I need to pay special attention to as I'm reviewing the results?

While you are doing chemo they will do blood work each week before your treatment. They want to make sure your blood levels are okay before infusion.
