I was just diagnosed with stage 2 ILC at age 32. I'm so worried that it will be stage 4 when they do the MRI and Pet scan.

I'm older than you by 30 years. I was diagnosed with Stage 2 ILC a little less than 2 yrs ago. I worried about the same thing. It is highly unlikely that you are Stage 4 or De Novo.

It all is so overwhelming in the beginning. Try to take it one day at a time. Don't Goggle but do come here for information.

Your doctors will work with you explaining each step. You have no idea what your course of treatment will be. Try not to imagine the worse. Lean on your friends and family. You will get through this. It gets much better. The unknown is always the scariest.

ILC tends to be slower growing than other subtypes of BC. Take heart in that, and post on our ILC board too. We are a pretty active group and care about what you are going through--we've been there.

Hi LMP100- I think everyone has the same worries. I was a hot mess over the entire process and I worried about MBC. I got a bone scan, CT scan, MRI, blood test, and my lymph nodes looked ok, so I finally calmed down on that front.

I hope all of your testing goes well!
