5 yrs After ACT Period Returns?

Options

49 years old. Diagnosed early 2015. Last period was the day before I started chemo. Stopped taking Tamoxifen earlier this year. Couldn’t take being an it anymore! I needed my sex life back!! My marriage depends on it, it seems.

Today, I’m trying to have a period? Really? Or is this a sign cancer has moved from the girls down south? Any thoughts?

It's unlikely to be metastasis. I just went through this, it is still going on. Period could return, but chances are slim at this age. Look up endometrial thickening, it is often a result of tamoxifen. In my case I am not taking it, so it is just part of my genetics, I guess.

You may be premenopausal. Though tamoxifen can play tricks on your uterus. I definitely would get it checked out. They’ll probably want to do a trans vaginal ultrasound and maybe a biopsy. I did have post meno bleeding after an ooph. After many follow up visitsI insisted on a hysterectomy. Best decision I ever made. I should have done it years ago. Also FYI uterine cancer is very rare. I’d guess a stupid polyp or something from tamoxifen. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
