Biopsy done but no BIRAD classification??

Hi- new here and very scared. As I am reading thru the posts i see that most are posting that after being given a BIRAD 4 classification after an ultrasound they were then sent for a biopsy.

I had a mammogram call back Monday and in same visit sent to get an ultrasound. Was told that I have a mass in a dialated duct and needed a biopsy. I had the biopsy done yesterday. Is it normal to have all this done and not have really any idea what I could be dealing with?

    Gapeachy - they didn't tell me my BIRAD score, I found it on the radiology report. If you have a patient portal with your PCP, the report might be there. When the radiologist gave me the results of the biopsy, he was surprised that I knew the BIRAD score. Also they might have left it up to the surgeon or the oncologist to discuss it. If you need either of them that is.
