Hello, I am 9 weeks post BMX with recon using silicone implants. Still wearing tight sports bra type bras 24/7. I’m seriously considering having the implants removed and going flat/concave. I’m so very uncomfortable with these implants. They are so heavy, 800 gm. My real breasts were huge and the implants are a lot smaller but feel so heavy and uncomfortable. I’m still really tender, not actual pain, but very tender. Advice? Thanks so much

Give it some more time. Talk to your PS about getting a professional bra fitting. Let yourself heal.

Hi there, Nanshayne, welcome to BCO! We're sorry that you're having such a hard time adjusting after your reconstruction surgery, but we agree with VegGal - nine weeks may be too soon after surgery to make a decision. There's still a lot of healing that will take place, and it can take some time to get used to them. Definitely talk to your PS about what you're experiencing, but give yourself ample time to heal and adjust before making a decision.

Nan - as posted on the other site, give it at least 6 months before you make any decision. And please go to 'my profile' and fill in your specifics so we'll better understand where you are in the process.
