So what's the deal with Titanium Dioxide?

Is it bad for us or isn't it? I've been hearing conflicting things on this and not sure what to believe. I just bought a bottle of Tylenol Arthritis because I read in another thread that it's good for bone pain. But lo and behold, Titanium Dioxide is in the ingredients. Any thoughts on this?

it's widely used in toothpaste. I've never heard that its toxic. I think you'll find it almost all white tablets.

Titanium oxide is a naturally occurring oxide of Titanium and is found in many cosmetics, processed foods, condiments etc. It has a potential threat as it can be carcinogenic if inhaled else it is a safe compound to us. I f you have had consulted your doctor regarding the use of this drug then go ahead without any worry and if no then please do get an approval of your doctor before you start using this one.

That's partly what I don't get. If inhaled it's dangerous but it's ok to swallow?

Then I recently read this that seems to say that the titanium dioxide nanoparticles induce apoptosis to breast cancer cells.
