Armpit swelling after lymph removal

how long did others have armpit swelling after lymph node removal? I had surgery on 8/13 and while the swelling has improved a lot, I still have a fair amount of swelling and cording. The cording is responding to stretching and massage so not too concerned about it but wondering if I’m being impatient w swelling. Any words of wisdom

Lymphedema can start at any time and if it were me I would mention the continued swelling to your team. A month seems a bit "longish" to have surgical swelling, but I'm no dr. Perhaps ask for a referral to a LE certified PT to rule it out as the cause of your continued armpit swelling? That would be my suggestion. I honestly don't remember having prolonged swelling in my armpit after my LNB, just that the area of that surgery hurt much more severely and for a longer period of time than my Lumpectomy site ever did. Ugggh. Anyway, just keep your team posted and see what they suggest. Hoping it resolves asap for you.
