A question about partner's pathology

Hello wonderful ladies of the BCO,

I am writing about my partner because she is the patient type who would not want to know too many details about her stage, reports etc. She has great doctors and leave these decisions to them. On the other hand, I am the type who drives themselves mad with research, googling etc. It is not too good sometimes.

My partner is staged as 3, grade 2 and high Ki. She is hormone positive HER-. Got lumpectomy, now in A+C chemo (x8) then rads.

There is a looming scary question at the back of my mind since her surgery pathology. Her report mentioned that signet cells were observed in bold letters. It did not say how much. She doesn't want me to ask her doctors or talk to them secretly since she thinks I am playing internet doctor time to time. So I could never bring that up. I asked another doctor friend, she asked her oncologist friend but she kind of brushed it off as " no, don't worry!" I guess I am still not convinced.

My question is: am I right in driving myself crazy about the presence of these cells? I am wondering why they were bolded and if it means something bad in prognosis. I know they don't appear in all BC tumors so I am very very worried.

thank you,

Baker
