Alcohol after Surgery?

I had Lumpectomy on the 18th and I have stopped pain medication on the 19th and am just taking Tylenol. My spouse said to me this morning “I’ll chill a bottle of wine for tonight and we can celebrate this first step being done” First I said sure, but am now second guessing as I have hormone positive cancer. Any thoughts, suggestions welcome. Thank you

In my opinion a small celebratory glass of wine is a nice idea. Your body is still healing from the surgery so I wouldn't go wild!

I was told wine ok when not on narcotic pain meds. No more than 2 per evening and no more than 4 per week. I hope you feel good celebrating with your husband:-).

My MO suggested 2 glasses a wine per week. I try to stick to that. Have a glass to celebrate!
